Few owners, if any, will deny that there is an almost palpable air of disappointment in Norway but it arises largely from the North Sea spot market, meaning that the bigger offshore picture is much brighter.
For a Norwegian owner with exposure to North Sea spot, a description of the market is likely to include the actual word “disappointment” and some of those admit that the beleaguered North Sea tends to infect owners’ sentiments (see page 42) in general.
