Hoegh LNG is considering scrapping its 126,400-cbm LNG Libra (built 1979).
Company president and chief executive Sveinung Stohle, speaking in a results briefing, described the vessel as “an odd asset” in Hoegh’s fleet but pointed out that the ship’s charterer, Gas Natural Fenosa, still has an option to extend its hire on the vessel. However, he said that given the current very soft market the company would “most likely be recycling” the vessel.
