Sandefjord-based Thor Dahl Shipping has acquired two containerships from Germany’s Claus-Peter Offen group as it starts to rebuild its fleet.
The 2,169-teu Westwood Cascade and Santa Felicita (both built 1999) are said to have fetched in excess of $7m each.
Thor Dahl managing director William L’Orange confirms the purchase and says the Flender Werft-built vessels will be renamed Thorswind and Thorsky, respectively.
