TGS is chartering the 12-streamer Polarcus Alima (built 2010) from Oslo-listed, Dubai-based seismic counterpart Polarcus for the work. Among the major seismic outfits, TGS is only one that owns no ships.
The three-dimensional (3D) MC survey will cover 1,000 square kilometers (sqm) off Sierra Leone for the Block 4A Extension, which will be added to the existing 6,268 sqm of data TGS holds for the area.
