Empire Chemical Tankers, a company controlled by the Polemis family, has been linked to the en-bloc deal said to be worth between $231m and $234.5m.

Polemis also controls London-based Seacrest and Piraeus management arm Remi Maritime.

The tankers are MISC’s STX-built, A-class fleet of 38,000-dwt IMO type-II/III vessels — the Bunga Akasia and Bunga Alamanda (both built 2009) and Bunga Allium, Bunga Angsana, Bunga Angelica, Bunga Azalea and Bunga Aster (all built 2010).
