Norway’s Torvald Klaveness group has turned to asset play with the disposal of contracts for six of the eight kamasarmaxes it had on order at Jiangsu Yangzijiang Shipbuilding in China.
Klaveness booked its first ship in the series as late as September last year.
Two of the 82,000-dwt newbuildings have been taken over by Greek owner Euroseas for slightly below $60m en bloc.
