Chinese owner Jiangsu Huaxi Shipping has sold its oldest vessel, an 18-year-old post-panamax bulker, for demolition.
The 94,000-dwt Golden Huaren (built 1992), which is not due for special survey until August next year, is understood to have gone to Pakistan for $8m.
The vessel was purchased as a tanker from Greek owner Polys Haji-Ioannou as Braveheart in 2009. At the time, it was reported sold for demolition for $4.9m
