The diversified owner, which is controlled by Greece’s Logothetis family, has put the 53,000-dwt Ocean Prefect (built 2003) and 52,000-dwt Ocean Prelate (built 2002) up for sale. They can be inspected this week in China and Australia, respectively.
The Tsuneishi-built Ocean Prelate may fetch around $14m and Oshima-built Ocean Prefect $16m.
Lomar has an extensive newbuilding programme for ultramax bulkers at Cosco Shipyard, with eight 64,000-dwt units set for delivery between 2014 and 2016.
