But, now, Princess Cruises has teamed up with San Francisco’s Strike Brewing Co to toast its upcoming 50th anniversary with its own craft ale.

The Seawitch West Coast IPA is named after the cruise company’s logo. It will be the first in a new series of exclusive craft beers served on its ships — at $6.25 a bottle.

The beer, described as having an aroma of lightly roasted malt and barley strongly accented by the crisp, dry flavour of a unique hop blend, will be introduced on the 3,560-passenger Regal Princess (built 2014) when the new ship starts a season of Caribbean cruises in November.
