Carnival Corp chief executive Arnold Donald says the cruise giant is aiming to sell a 1999-built cruiseship and will not order a second newbuilding for delivery in 2017, as the company is aiming to keep capacity growth at a slow pace.

After Carnival recorded earnings that analysts described as a “big beat” on expectations, Donald says the New York and London-listed cruiseship owner has plans underway to sell the 670-berth Ocean Princess (built 1999) from its Princess Cruises line.
