The IHI-built ship was the second that Pikey has scrapped since February 2012, when the 35,300-dwt Maria K (built 1983) was sold to Indian buyers for a reported $545 per ldt.

This move leaves the Kallikis-family-controlled Pikey without any registered ships.

Enarxis, the Greek word for “beginning”, had also been the name of the family’s first ship back in the 1960s, a small 1,500-dwt built bulker employed in the Mediterranean trade.
