Sources say the company wants to dispose of the Koyo-built, 107,000-dwt Al Muminah (built 2005). The ship can be inspected in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia.
Bakri, the largest privately owned shipping company in the country, bought the then Japanese-controlled tanker for just $20.3m in January 2013. Some suggest the price for the tanker, then called Forward Pioneer, was as low as $19.7m.
