The German Schiffahrtsregatta, organised by Hamburg-based broker Peter Gast Shipping, sees a flotilla of magnificent yachts set out each year from Schleimunde in northern Germany bound for the picturesque Danish town of Aeroskobing.
This year the event, which draws together shipowners, bankers, shipbrokers, suppliers and many more from both Germany and abroad, was blessed with wonderful weather. Facing mainly southerly winds, the competitors sailed mainly with spinnakers, creating a sea of colours.
