Oslo-listed offshore owner DOF says subsidiary DOF Installer has sold one of its three large subsea vessels for a profit of NOK 650m ($100m) after repayment of debt.

The DOF sale comes as pressure for cost-cutting has been building all year among the main employers of subsea vessels, the engineering contractors, and also follows the recent planned purchase by Daya Offshore Construction of two of its chartered-in ships from Oslo-listed Siem Offshore.
