Sealift Inc has purchased a boxship from Miami-based Sea-Change Maritime to put the vessel back on the disputed government charter that it lost last month.
The Long Island shipowner purchased the 1,730-teu Capt David I Lyon (ex-Positano, built 1996), according to a source with knowledge of the transaction. The price tag is not known.
