In a deal that seems to be suggesting rapidly falling prices for panamaxes, Greece’s Bulkseas Marine Management is reportedly about to buy the 76,000-dwt Mishima, (built 2002) for between $12.5m and $12.8m.
The Imabari-built vessel, currently owned by Japanese giant K Line, was initially reported to have been sold in June for $16m.
According to market sources, the deal is at an advanced stage, pending final approval by Bulkseas’ board.
