Tor Olav Troim agrees with those who call his split from John Fredriksen “a bad divorce” but not without qualifying that statement a bit.
“All divorces are bad but we started with $300m and ended it with $17bn so it wasn’t too bad,” the Golar LNG director said.
Troim laughed at his own remark and drew guffaws from a crowd of investors gathered around him after his panel appearance at the LNG shipping conference in New York, hosted by Poten & Partners and Bloomberg.
