Shipowners could be heading for a clash with the European Union (EU) over regional shiprecycling regulation and emissions monitoring.
The European Community Shipowners’ Association (ECSA) has yet to complete its response to a draft of the EU’s technical interpretation of its shiprecycling regulation, which was sent out to stakeholders recently. But many European owners are privately unhappy with the EU’s stand.
