It would appear to us that the comments of Mr Rhodin are, understandably, somewhat biased towards the Scandinavian model of hull insurance/claims handling.

We do not necessarily agree with his assumption that it is essential for the assured to have only one decision-maker to relate to in respect of complex cases. In our view, it would be almost impossible for one entity to be capable of making and/or assessing the ramifications of all decisions in a complex case.
