South Korean shipowner Sinokor Merchant Marine has put a marker down on a series of LNG carrier newbuilding berths.
Brokers say the company has reserved four berth slots at DSME but add that these will not be firmed up unless it wins charter contracts for the ships.
Chinese-backed Sinokor, which is listed as controlling a mixed fleet of just over 100 vessels, has yet to cut its teeth in the LNG sector.
