The company only entered shipowning in 2011, ordering a quartet of 64,000-dwt ships at China’s Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding.
Two of the ships, the Star Jing and Star Vivian, were delivered last year but, according to sources, Norr now intends to sell them. They are on three-year time charters to Oldendorff Carriers. Norr reportedly paid $30m apiece for the quartet, which would likely fetch just $24m to $25m each today.
