Braemar Shipping Services is set for a sharp rise in second-half profit as its merger with ACM Shipping begins to boost its performance.

London-listed Braemar this week booked a first-half loss of £0.148m ($0.238m), stemming from exceptional items of £3m from the merger — including redundancy payments and other costs.

Adjusted operating profit of £3.2m was reported for the period, which included only a single month’s contribution from ACM.
