Japan’s Osaka Gas Co is making a final selection of its preferred bidders for up to five LNG newbuildings that it needs to lift the cargo volumes it is buying from the US.
Shipyard players say the utility is expected to make a final selection this week. They indicate there are between two to three strong contenders for the business left in the frame.
