Roy Edkins, who took over the job when James Buck left this summer, is departing in a move that set tongues wagging about the London-listed broker’s future in the container market.
Braemar executives say they are disappointed to see Edkins quit but they are not giving up on the sector.
James Kidwell, chief executive of Braemar Shipping Services, told TradeWinds: “We are very much in the container business but focusing our efforts on secondhand sale and purchase.”
