Shanghai-based Greathorse Shipping has added more chemical tankers to its growing fleet.

The company has contracted Japan’s Kitanihon Shipbuilding to build two 25,000-dwt stainless-steel ships for delivery in 2017.

An official at Greathorse confirms the order but declines to disclose the price. Shipbuilding players suggest the ships are costing more than $40m apiece. Japanese trading house Itochu is said to have arranged the deal.
