ExxonMobil’s shipping subsidiary appears to be closing in on the final phase of a campaign to shed two of its suezmax tankers.

Seacor Holdings recently emerged as the buyer of the 125,000-dwt Kodiak (built 1978) from SeaRiver Maritime of the US.

While the New York-quoted parent of Jones Act operator Seabulk Tankers has been tight-lipped about the deal, sources claim the vessel commanded more than $30m.
