Indian port manager targets offshore debut

Sources say the Hyderabad-based company has plans to acquire two modern 3,000-dwt platform supply vessels (PSVs) by the end of this year.

Senior officials at the company confirm the plan but say how things turn out depends on its winning the ONGC tender.

TradeWinds had reported last month that Ocean Sparkle is one of 20 companies in the race for a long-term contract for nine 3,000-dwt PSVs and six 1,500-dwt offshore support vessels (OSVs).
