Sources say the 84,000-cbm Corsair (built 2014) has been taken by Shell from mid-2015 for some $1.2m per month, or $40,000 per day.
The company has five VLGCs trading, plus a small pressurised LPG carrier. It will take delivery of 17 VLGCs from South Korean yards next year and in 2016.
John Hadjipateras-led Dorian earlier this year announced five-year charter deals with Shell.
