Capital Ship Management appears to have pulled off another profitable fixture for a pair of 9,000-teu newbuildings due for delivery next year.
The company is believed to have chartered the Aisopos and Andronikos, both under construction at Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries, to Cosco for five years at what industry sources say is “close to” $40,000 per day.
Jens Storm, head of Capital’s containership operation, says it is premature to discuss any fixtures.
