Sterling Cruise Lines (SCL), a new venture set up by several Miami travel-industry and cruise veterans, plans to launch operations in April if it can conclude a long-term charter with Fleetpro for the Clipper Group-owned cruiseship Gemini (built 1992).
It plans to operate the ship from the southern Caribbean port of Aruba, drawing a clientele base from Latin America. Many passengers from Latin America fly to Miami to board the ships of the industry’s major players.
