The Faralda NDSM Crane Hotel in Amsterdam gives guests the chance to spend the night in one of three luxury suites suspended high above the former Nederlandse Droogdok en Scheepsbouw Maatschappij (NDSM), otherwise known as the Dutch Dock and Shipbuilding Co facility.
The yard was used for ship construction and repair from 1894 until 1979 before being formally closed in 1984.
