Electronic data shows the 145,000-cbm Methane Rita Andrea (built 2006) is scheduled to arrive at Curtis Island, off Gladstone in Queensland, tomorrow. The ship is due to load a cargo that has been sold to Japanese buyers.
Earlier reports indicated a cargo would leave in the next week from what will be the world’s first coalbed methane-backed liquefaction project.
Those following QCLNG closely suggest BG is under some pressure to fulfil its obligation to export a first cargo from the plant before the end of this year.
