Power pair subdued on S&P front
Two of the world’s largest shipowners, John Fredriksen (left) and John Angelicoussis (below left), were relatively quiet in the secondhand market this year. Fredriksen cleared out some of the older VLCCs on his books but his major activity involved newbuilding orders and the creation of a huge bulker company, first through the combination of Frontline 2012’s capesize orderbook with Knightsbridge Shipping and then the latter’s merger with Golden Ocean.
