Mumbai-based Allcargo has fixed the 844-teu feedership Gati Majestic (built 1995) for one year to the end of 2015 and plans to acquire a 1,100-teu boxship by the middle of the year.
According to Captain Sandeep Bakshi, Allcargo’s chief operating officer, the company aims to deploy the Gati Majestic in the coastal trade, where growth is anticipated.
The vessel will also help Allcargo test the market given its planned vessel acquisitions.
