The crew of a vessel stuck in Oman has been awaiting repatriation for months, adding a further twist to the complex story of the 22,051-dwt Free Goddess (built 1995) — a bulker commercially inactive for more than two years after it was released from Somali pirates in the Indian Ocean.

A dispute between the ship’s owner, Nasdaq-listed FreeSeas, and its unidentified charterer has kept the vessel in limbo at the port of Salalah, Oman.
