TradeWinds has learned that Mumbai-based Raj Shipping acquired its first offshore support vessel (OSV) — the 2,230-dwt Kiesse (built 1999) — last week from France’s Bourbon Offshore.
Although brokers fail to specify the purchase price, they say a similarly aged vessel would cost between $8m and $9m.
Meanwhile, Mumbai-based shipmanager and shipbroker KNK Shipmanagement is reportedly vying to acquire the 2,300-dwt Weza (built 1999), another Bourbon Offshore vessel, for the ONGC contract.
