The latest tender includes a total of 57 blocks or partial blocks, of which 34 are in the south-eastern Barents Sea, 20 in other parts of the Barents Sea and three in the Norwegian Sea.

“By initiating petroleum activity in the south-eastern Barents Sea, we reach yet another milestone for Norwegian petroleum activities,” said Norwegian minister of petroleum and energy Tord Lien of the right-leaning Progress Party (Fremskrittspartiet).
