There have been only 10 claims sufficiently costly to pool so far this year, about half the level of last year and other recent years.
None of the pooled claims of the current year looks hugely costly, although there are two wreck removals — that of the Chilean ferry Amadeo 1 and the small containership Yusuf Cepnioglu, which grounded off Mykonos in Greece.
