The specialist owner/operator has acquired the Oshima-built, 91,000-dwt Shin Sakaide (built 2000) for $10.85m from a Japanese company.
A source familiar with the company confirms the purchase, adding that Winning will take delivery of the vessel next month.
Online valuation platform VesselsValue.com lists NYK as the seller but TradeWinds is told that the ship is owned by a trading house and chartered to NYK.
