Sources say the 57,000-dwt Captain V Livanos (built 2011) has been sold to an undisclosed buyer. The STX Dalian-built ship is understood to have fetched $19m, which is in line with market values.
Trojan’s Piraeus office declined to comment on the report and suggested contacting New York-based Independence Maritime Agency. However, TradeWinds was unable to gain a response from the latter before going to press.
