Two Golar vessels to be redelivered as idle tally rises

Japanese trader Marubeni is understood to be handing back the 140,650-cbm Golar Arctic (built 2005) in the middle of next month as the vessel’s three-year charter comes to an end.

Brokers say Golar LNG fixed the ship to Marubeni at a rate of $137,000 per day in March 2012.

Separately, BG Group is redelivering the 145,700-cbm Golar Grand (built 2006) to Golar LNG Partners after opting not to take up an optional hire period on the ship.
