Tankers
Maersk Tankers is said to have declared a purchase option on the Japanese-controlled, 47,000-dwt products tanker Maersk Misumi (built 2008). However, the option price has not been disclosed.
Monaco-based Blue Sea Shipping has sold the 19,300-dwt chemical tanker St Dawn (built 2000) for a reported $14.3m. The Shin Kurushima-built vessel, which is due for special survey, has gone to a Vietnamese buyer, possibly TPL Shipping, brokers say.
