Maersk Line has taken the last in a series of wide-beam containerships from Oaktree Capital Management on a five-year period at a new benchmark rate.
The Danish giant is reckoned to be paying $21,000 per day for the 5,400-teu newbuildings Wide Hotel and Wide Juliet from delivery in March and May from Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction (HHIC)’s Subic Bay facility in the Philippines.
