The Portugese company has a trading fleet of 12 ships, all bulkers, and five vessels on order at different shipyards.

Market sources are puzzled as to why the Stanley Ho-controlled company would go the sales block with so many ships given the state of the freight market.

Portline did not respond to request for comments.

The ships involved are reportedly two Japanese-built supramaxes, the 52,000-dwt Port Estoril and 50,000-dwt Achilleus (both built 2001).
