The Bombay High Court last week ordered the arrest of the 81,400-dwt Daebo Lumut (built 2011) following an affidavit filed by bunker supplier JH Marine Co over unpaid bills.
Sources say JH Marine claims it supplied bunkers to the Daebo Lumut and some of Daebo’s chartered fleet but the South Korean owner has yet to pay.
TradeWinds is told that until the end of January this year, the Daebo Lumut was employed on a one-year charter involving US-based United Bulk Carriers (UBC).
