Is it really about to happen? Consolidation, that is. It was the buzzword sweeping this week’s gatherings at the Connecticut Maritime Association (CMA) and Capital Link conferences in Stamford and Manhattan, respectively.
Then again, we have heard the word before — almost ad nauseam — especially considering how little in the form of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) has actually come from all the hype.
