Zim Integrated Shipping Services is back in the market for newbuildings in a move that would end an order drought stretching back to before the onset of the financial crisis.
The Israeli liner operator, which cancelled a number of newbuildings booked during the market peak, is said to be looking to order as many as 13 vessels.
Industry sources say Zim is in contact with yards in China as it looks to implement a fresh programme.
