Eight outfits on shortlist for Astomos VLGC veteran

Sources say the company now has eight bidders on its shortlist for the 78,000-cbm Gas Scorpio (built 1995), which could fetch $45m.

On the list are four Asian owners, which includes two Indian companies, and four Western owners, which includes one US-based firm.

Global United of India, which is believed to be on the list, bought the last vintage VLGC to come on the market when it paid $40m in January for the 75,000-cbm Gas Sapphire (built 1993).
