The 4,553-dwt Sea Falcon (built 2013) is losing a charter that had been scheduled to run with Apache until April 2018.

An off-hire situation is likely to have occurred after an accident earlier this month, when the Sea Falcon made contact with Apache’s Forties Echo platform off Aberdeen, which triggered emergency procedures to evacuate and shut down the platform.

Deep Sea Supply has not released details on the cancellation, although analysts believe the owner will receive no termination fee because of contract clauses related to the vessel being off hire.
