Two South Korean giants are locked in a fight to win up to six ultra-large containership (ULC) newbuildings worth over $900m for Danish shipowning giant AP Moller-Maersk.

Newbuilding sources say the owner is expected to make a call between DSME and Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), who have been slugging it out on prices for the 20,000-teu-plus vessels over the past three to four weeks.
